Dear World - Open Portrait Shoot
As you may have heard across campus, we are extremely excited that Dear World, an internationally-renowned portrait and storytelling project that has been featured on Rolling Stone, ESPN, CNN, and New York Times and is coming to campus on Tuesday October 17th to feature their live show and celebrate the faces and stories of the Cleveland State University community. If you’re unfamiliar, here is a 120-second video, which captures the powerful messages and impact of their work.
Dear World has visited college campuses across the nation and has been invited to our community to explore the powerful connections between students, faculty and staff and provide an opportunity for each member of our campus community to share their own personal story. This program is renown for widening conversations around current events and is an incredible “listening” device to show our students that our administration cares about their voices and stories. This event has a strong emphasis on diversity and inclusion and we are hoping to reach as many students as possible.
Please join us for the open photoshoot to get your portrait taken on Tuesday October 17th from 11-3pm in the Student Center Atrium. This event is open to students, staff and faculty.
The schedule for the day is the following:
- Open Portrait Shoot - SC Atrium - 11-3pm
- Storytelling Event & Portrait Reveal - MC Auditorium - 7-8pm
- After Party & Second Chance Photo Shoot - MC Lobby - 8-9:30pm
