CSU Campus Safety Update Class

 

The CSU campus community is invited to attend a FREE Campus Safety Update Class to learn valuable techniques to improve both personal and overall campus safety. Please consider this two hour course to brush up on quick actions that may save your life or that of a co-worker or student.

Learning Objectives:

1. Learn and understand the various roles and disciplines under CSU's Campus Safety - CSU Police Department; Emergency Management; Environmental Health & Safety; and Access Control & Security Systems.

2. Learn proper procedures to use a portable fire extinguisher to put out a small fire.

3. Learn about the CSU Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), and how you can join.

4. Learn hands-on practical application with AED’s, CPR, and the Heimlich maneuver for a choking adult.

Please wear comfortable clothes. You will be provided the opportunity to operate equipment such as AED’s, CPR mannequins and portable fire extinguishers.

Time: 9:00 am to 11:00 am
