Description: Participants will learn what copyright is, its purpose, the exclusive rights of the copyright holder, and the limitations on those rights that allow use of protected materials. Participants will also learn about the Fair Use Doctrine, how to determine if a use is a fair use, and about relevant legal cases involving use of copyrighted materials. Finally, faculty will gain information to make informed choices in managing their own copyrights.
