Books to Prisoners

In collaboration with the Appalachian Prison Book Project, Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law is holding a drive to collect new and gently used paperback books to donate to APBP. The Appalachian Prison Book Project (APBP) is a nonprofit that sends free books to people imprisoned across six states in the Appalachian region: Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia. All books collected and donated can serve as a lifeline to people doing time and act not only as a means of entertainment, but education.

“Prisoned-based education is the single most effective tool in reducing recidivism.” - National Institute of Justice to the US Congress

The drop box in the law school is located on the same floor as the atrium. It is inside the student services area next to the reception desk. The drop box in the student center will be up later today(12/10) or tomorrow (12/11). Thank you.
